What’s the story here?

French Press’s leftist owner made a FB post about Trump in 2018. Then when some people started commenting how they would no longer eat at his place, he crawfished back. Very Drew Breesish.

quote:

"My biggest failure was not seeing the offending nature of what I had written," Girouard wrote. "My intent was never to offend any of the amazing people who have supported us from the very beginning. I have never been particularly funny and this was a very poor first attempt in a very public setting, on a very public subject. The only humor in all of this is how terribly I failed."

Personally, while I’m sure Girouard and I are on very opposite ends of the political spectrum, I’d still have respect for him if he didn’t come back crawling.

As for the French Press restaurant itself, I’ve been there twice and didn’t really find it to be all that. Then again, both times was dinner. I’ve heard their brunch is supposed to be really good but have never made it over for that.
