The last time I bought crawfish in Lafayette I got that crap where the sprinkle the seasoning on top. I'll ask a lot of questions before I fall for that again. Worst crawfish ever.

That's a good deal, but it will be a while before you see anything close to that this year.

Who knows, the season might push quite a bit farther back than usual with low prices toward the end.

Does anyone know if Crawfish Time sprinkles or soaks their crawfish? I want to head over there this evening but don't care for the sprinkle method

Sprinkle. That is almost all you will get anywhere you buy already cooked. Blue Crawfish company on Roselawn my new go to spot.

Most places that sell crawfish in big amounts boil in plain WATER! Yes I hate to break the news. If you eat crawfish at a restaurant or drive thru there is 90% chance it’s been boiled in regular ole water and seasoned after. All the idiots complaining about sprinkle this and that are the same idiots spending $7.00 a pound at the restaurant.

Don’t know where you are but $4 a pound for live crawfish is a joke. Paid $2.50 last weekend for mediums

Crawfish Time

on Verot School Road.

Don't know if they sprinkle, but have heard that they do. But you really can't tell.

Ate there twice this month and they were large and done perfectly. Paid about $34 for a 5 lb order.

CrescentConnection are you seeing that sweet $20 deal yet at C-Hole?

I think they sprinkle only on the spicy crawfish for extra kick. The meat has plenty of flavor and is clearly soaked, and if you get spicy, they just sprinkle more on top and add some sliced jalapeños. They have my favorite restaurant crawfish fwiw

Baw that was two months ago. We’re getting $2 now field run. We’re catching larges. Hardly any what would be called mediums

No, not yet. The special today was 5lbs for $25. I swore they had 5lbs for $20 last year on Saturdays at this time, but haven’t seen it listed yet.

ETA: Went to LT’s in Broussard last week and they were great. Seasoned perfectly and big. I didn’t pay, so not sure of the price.
