I have the newer model. While i'd jump at that price when i was looking, the newer model has some really great upgrades. Weight assisted hood. Hood Latch. New top vent system. Kevlar oven gaskets. Divide and conquer system (not really a necessity), 6 piece fire box as opposed to a solid fire box that could crack, etc...
