mark's food was actually really good .. but he has a really really bad gambling problem .. we're talking a five-figure a week habit .. when he was up, he was the greatest guy in the world and would give you the shirt off of his back, when he was down he was absolutely horrible .. as you can imagine, he was down more than up ..

I've followed him around for years and his food was always good as were his places but you hit the nail on the head with his gambling and his parents quit bailing him out.
His best place was Christina's the breakfast place downtown and she has done extremelly well with it.
He had Joey Distafano with him on several adventures. Two peas in a pod may he RIP.
What is Mark doing now? 5-10?

I miss Joey. He'd let my kids go in the kitchen with him to pick out their dinner. Long, long time family friend.
Last time I spoke to Mark he was at Southern Belle sandwich.

Mark was working on the catering side. I asked Ricky about it and all he could do was smile.

Yes. It was hoot to watch.
One morning around 9am I was at the post office & I saw John (End Zone Owner) going into the back door of Johnny’s. About a week later I went to the ‘Zone” and asked John if he was jonesing for a pizza for breakfast; He laughed and said they were good friends.

I thought the same thing it's essentially been closing since a few months after it opened and it's still there somehow

They sold out to an out of state company last month and closed it down. Guess Maggio is once again looking for something new.

there's never any cars over there at all .. a buddy of mine watched the mississippi state game at city cafe and said someone told him there were 7 people total in the end zone ... he said city cafe was packed and the overflow didn't even bother to go there ... go figure ..
