I work all over Baton rouge and surrounding areas and have found some really good lunch spots. I've been here a handful of times and it is consistently awesome and becoming one of my favorite places for lunch any time I am in the area. And I'm not the owner, just wanted to share my experience with this place.

I’ve only been there once, but it was good.

It's John Michael's Good Eats. May want to correct title now that there is a Good Eats place in BR. Shrimp Remoulade wrap with the pasta salad side and that spearmint tea. YUM!

Has been good for years (decade or more). Glad to see he managed to move to a bigger spot and keep the good stuff flowing.
Place is always too packed for me to try during the week.

I've been stopping by here for years, the last time I swore I'd never go back, there must have been 10 people in line ahead of me. Damn all the stiffs horning in on my spot.
Pretty much a place where you won't be hungry when you leave. I like the bigger digs.
Edit to add, I do wish they had table service so you didn't have to stand in line.

Yeah, get there at 11 or there is going to be a line. Everything I've had there has been good though.

I miss working on that side of town and going there. Wraps are great, prices are fair, and that cold pasta salad is a refreshing part of lunch. It's been a couple of yrs since I've been, so haven't seen the new setup.

Food is good. Solid lunch spot. Service went to shite when they moved locations.

I have been here about 4 or 5 times over the last few months and have had the same two people at the counter taking my order every time and they were very pleasant. The place is pretty much self service. You order at the counter, they give you a number to put on your table and they bring the food to you. You can tip at the counter if you want to but they don't wait on your table. You get your own refills. I believe the owner came to check on us pretty much every time I have been there.
Maybe the "poor service" and "long line" comments are referring to the old location. I have never waited more than 10 minutes to get my food.
