Jambalaya burner issue

Ok guys have a 20 gallon roll around set from krazy kajun.
I'm having an issue with the burner. When I try to turn it up and get it burning hot, it seems it starts to go ut. Like half of the burner stays lit and half cuts out and sometimes it's more than half.
Tried a high pressure regulator and low pressure and have same issue.
Any ideas?

Don’t know where you had it stored but if in a shed sometimes spiders or some kind of wasp will put pieces of grass or straw into the hole where the propane comes out. Sometimes it will be way back in where you can’t see it. Might want to pull the regulator off and blow high pressure air through it.

This. Damn dirt daubers will build dirt mounds holding their spider victims in the back of your burner gas ports. Sometimes it takes boiling the burner in water to get it all out. See if you can blow it out with compressed air first.

Could be an issue with the air/propane mix. My burner has a wheel underneath the connection where you can adjust that to get the right ratio

This is your issue. Find the gauge and adjust it. You have too much air in your line

My bet is on the dirt dauber.

there is a thing as too much pressure also, where you are blowing out your flame.

No, if it has set up awhile, the problem is slight rust buildup on all the burner holes. This increases velocity, which means more air induced/gas can’t keep up. Get a drill bit the same size as the holes or slightly larger and ream out each one. I usually do this about once a year for all my burners.
