That's the beauty of it. They will cut whatever you want, even at a moment's notice.

Y'all got suckered in by the local bs. Lol. But I am truly happy Iverstine has dumbasses like y'all to buy their stuff. I do hope they do well. BR needs such businesses to keep the area interesting. I tried their gumbo, boudin and bone in pork chops. I thought they we all fine (with the gumbo being the best), but overall, the value is poor. In other words, I'm not gonna pay a premium price for something I can get elsewhere that's better and for a lower price. But I also understand that a few people shop based on perceived quality and not price.

Y'all should try and buy some chicken gizzards from them and see how much that costs. Lol. Seriously. Do it.

Y'all got suckered

At Thanksgiving I was searching for a fresh turkey breast to cook for my dad, who is on an extreme low sodium diet.

I went to the usual places to no avail. I even had one butcher tell me that his fresh turkey breast was just a butterball (or similar brand) that they defrosted and cut up with the breast being passed off as fresh. I'm glad I asked and am grateful that he was honest with me as it could have been harmful to my dad.

I finally wound up at Iverstine and they sold me a fresh turkey breast that had not been pre injected and was safe for my dad to consume.

I must admit, it was a bit pricey, but I knew it was fresh and it was also delicious.

I am happy to have them as an honest source for meat in our city and will continue to shop there.

Some people take pride in knowing the source of their meat or poultry.

Some don't care.

If you can't tell the difference between smaller farm raised and mass marketed then usually the price difference isn't for you.

Sorry you dont have taste buds.

The taste of their pork is strikingly different than the chops you're picking up at walmart.

Ignorant. All of that.

On another note... shoulder from Iverstine on the egg now. Dont miss the days of flavorless pork
