My kids requested pancakes this beautiful Saturday morning during quarantine so I decided to do the IHOP Kopycat recipe that's widely available on the world wide web. The recipe is easy and this makes some nice fluffy and delicious pancakes.
Mix all ingredients in a bowl and whisk until there are no clumps and pourable. I added another 1/4 cup of buttermilk because my kids don't like them too thick.
Cook on medium heat until you see bubbles form before flipping. Keep an eye on them because its easy to burn.
Top with butter and enjoy with your favorite syrup!

Looks awesome. Try whipping two egg whites and folding them into the batter next time. It’s fricking awesome.

IHOP has my all time favorite pancakes. I don’t know what it is about them, but I love them. I’ll definitely be giving this recipe a try at some point.
The biggest thing that I’m found to improve homemade pancakes is letting the batter rest for 30 minutes to an hour after mixing.

IHOP pancakes are the GOAT. I also don’t know exactly why but they perfectly soak up the melted butter and syrup while somehow still remaining light and fluffy. I’ve tried every recipe I can find and they never come out the same at home. I do agree that folding in whipped egg whites helps but nothing has ever matched.
When I get a big enough craving to get some I will order a lot of them to-go. They reheat perfectly so I have enough to enjoy for a few mornings.

If you want to be fat, try fried pancakes.

Cracker Barrell makes the GOAT pancakes IMO. I don't know how they get them so lightly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

The Original Pancake House takes a giant dump on IHOP.
Those do look very good for homemade though.

Just give my a full stack of buttermilk pancakes and a side of home fries, and wheel me home when I pass out.

You can try it now. There’s a new one in Flowood on Lakeland Drive.
