Had it at a wedding last year and got the recipe from the bride. Every time I have made it, its been a big hit. I need to find more such recipes to try out here.

The praline sauce is basically 8 oz unsalted butter, 1 cup brown sugar, melt them on medium heat. Add a spoonful of dark rum or rum extract. Then add 1/2 cup heavy cream and handful crushed pecans. Cook on low flame trying not to bring to a boil. Once the pecans are nice and crunchy, pour it over breaded chicken strips.

I made buttermilk fried strips from this site;

I can recall the first time I had that stuff—it was easily 25+ years ago for some state govt meeting with a catered lunch. Sticky sweet, and popular with the BR people in the group. I can’t say I’ve seen it very many other places. Wonder if it’s a local concoction or what.

I thought that’s what this thread was about.

It’s been years, so I forget if it was Wednesday or Thursday lunch buffet, but my god whichever day they rolled out Praline Chicken I’d go once a month minimum. What a treat.

Chicken covered with sugar, butter and heavy cream?
I am not saying it won't be good but no wonder we are all so fat.

I've been making a honey pecan chicken recently. Same concept - sauce is butter, honey, and chopped pecans.

This sounds amazing, and I think I'm going to try this weekend.
