Not the outdoors hunter type, but a co-worker gave me some deer sausage and I have no idea how to cook it.
Do I use it like regular sausage and will it have the wild game taste after cooking?
Thanks

I am not sure you need to start the new year off in this manner...Maybe if you had some self restraint you wouldn't be in such a bad mood this a.m...

Yes it is ground links

WTH is a "ground link"? It's usually either ground sausage (like Owen's/Jimmy Dean, consistency of ground beef) or links (like Manda's/Richard's smoked sausage).

Either way it is probably mixed with other meat by whoever processed it, so it won't be as gamey or dry. Use it like you would other sausage of its type. If it's ground, make breakfast patties out of it or brown it and put it in dirty rice. Goes great in Oak Grove Jambablya Mix. If it's in smoked-sausage-type links, cook it like you would smoked sausage.

Only in a pinch or when I'm being lazy. Mr. Dot makes killer jambalaya from scratch.

But seeing as how the OP doesn't know what to do with deer sausage, a mix is probably the way to go in the kitchen. Oak Grove >>>>> any other mix.
