Morning Everyone,

I'll be in Houston next weekend for a short visit, and I'm simply looking for one dinner recommendation.

Pretty much, I don't care if it's high end or not, and I'm open to any type of food - just want something that stands out, whether it's bbq, Mejicano, sushi, steak, anything else.

Much appreciated!

Should provide some general area in which you will be located, Houston is pretty big.

I'm staying in The Heights, but we can drive anywhere, no biggie.

In case you’re not aware, Houston is friggen huge so not sure exactly what area you will be in.

My two favorites are Ibiza and Steak48.

With a wide open search parameter, you'll get a million excellent options. Can't go wrong with these:

Xochi - Central Mexican
Ibiza - Spanish
El Tiempo - Tex Mex
Georgia James - Steakhouse
UB Preserve - Comfort/Varied
One Fifth - Mediterranean
Truth BBQ
Coltivare - Italian
Crawfish and Noodles - VietCajun

Hey Merchant for decent food and a big beer selection. Anvil for cocktails.

And in case you're not aware, I specified which area a whopping two posts above yours.

Thanx a bunch, just looking for people's favorites, and that helps for sure.

Coltivare is probably the best restaurant in The Heights/one of the best in Houston, they don't take reservations but if it's a nice night having some drinks in the garden is a decent way to pass the time while you wait for your table.
