Homemade Soy Milk Recipe

I am allergic to milk. Always have been. I'm not exactly sure what it is about milk, but I can't drink it. I recently started drinking soy as a substitute and while it doesn't taste as good as traditional milk, I can drink it without getting sick. I just realized I can make this at home for a significant cost savings and wondered if anyone on the F&D Board has tried this?
TIA
TIA

Does the amount you drink justify the amount of time you will spend?
For instance, we have made our bread in the past, saves significant money. Until we look at the time spent. I know what I'm worth per hour, saving a few dollars for the work gets old quickly.

A half gallon of soy milk costs anywhere from $3 to $4 per half gallon here. I go thru a half gallon or more in a week. A pound of soy beans costs me about $1.50 at Whole Foods. I can make close to a half gallon of milk with a cup of dry beans or about $.50. Supposedly, it's better too.

You're overpaying. My Kroger always has a brand on sale. I pay $4 or lessfor 2 half gallons

If you really want to save money go to a local farmer and buy a 60lb bag of soybeans. That would cost about $10.00. You are paying $90 at whole foods.

Gallon from a cup, that's some Jesus type stuff there.
Guess there is a lot of water in that stuff. Never really noticed.

Whole Foods of all places is actually the cheapest at $2.99/half gallon.
