Cowbell sells a $12 grilled cheese and soup, and it is packed to the gills with Ochsner folks at lunch. I hope Hippie Kitchen takes off, mainly because I like the breakfast items and it’s on my way to work.

Potentially on my way back to Metry after dropping my daughter off at High School uptown if i go that way. If I have time in the morning it’s nice to grab a breakfast sandwich. Will be checking this place out soon.

HK is also doing 25-cent wings at happy hour.

Went this morning and thought it was great, will go back to try some other items including lunch.

BTW In house bread was nice and dense and help up.

Fast Break, added bacon. Nice surprise to see sweet potatoes and a side salad for breakfast, tore it up.

Hippie Green drink. Good balance of tart and sweet. Greens did not dominate.

The one pet peeve is that they nickel and dime you for the little extras. $1 for a strip of bacon is a little much. A side order of dressing is 75 cents. Other than that, I’m a fan and look forward to going back.

Not a big deal, does not come with bacon and I love bacon so I added it. BTW bacon is sourced from a farm, as well as the eggs.

Went tonight it was really good

Goat cheese app was great
Shared a creole tomato salad. Good

Had traditional lasagna & shared the gnocchi entree, both served with fresh bread.

Brownie for dessert was awesome.

Everything was really good & fresh. Staff was super nice.

Had lunch there a couple of weeks ago. Their version of a Reuben is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. 30 day aged Pastrami. I could eat a mountain of that goodness. Bread delicious, service good, all the staff really nice. Hope they do well.
