I think most people cook with them on the grill until they break or become disgusting looking after two uses.

Get it super hot on the grill then throw a steak on there.

I don't have one, just saw a video on here once.

I have one and have used it to "marinate" meat or fish many times. Adds a nice salt flavor. Just put your meat or fish on there for 15-20 minutes a side and then cook it. You can use it to cook on, but can also do what I said.

I got one too, but will probably use under broiler rather than on grill.

How do you clean it after?

Warm water. Salt is naturally anti-microbial, so you just need to use a soft sponge an some water and that is effective enough of a cleaning job.
