One size does not fit all. Children have smell, texture and other issues. All six kids in my family had them. Meal time was family time. My parents were not about making that time stress time. They made what they needed to make. It wasn’t that difficult and it was pleasant. No one ever went to bed hungry. No one was ever threatened with hunger. There are enough stresses on kids. Eating shouldn’t be one of them. In my opinion, unless they are missing nutrients they need which can be handled, no forcing is necessary. Parenting isn’t a walk in the park. Do what fits your kids and what you think is best for them. Obviously, looking at their health is an important consideration.
