I agree, I don't even care for the apps that much. The gouda beignets are so damn salty, and they don't give you any dipping sauce. It's begging for any kind of sauce, savory or sweet.
K. Vizard is a really great guy but ever since he switched to small plates it has been all down hill. It used to be one of my absolute favorites. I used to go when he was in the Garden Dist. hotel, and always loved it. He, like many other's, great chef not businessmen.

If you go back to Katie's try the Crawfish beignet. It is legit, better than Crawfish bread at Jazzfest and the aioli that comes with it is awesome.
I like the pasta options, and can't miss on the fish. The menu is so vast there. It's hard to pick the same thing twice. I also like the ribs and the pizzas.
