I'm bringing a lady to BR for the first time (hers) for the Moo State weekend. I'd like to take her to a couple great spots while we're there. I know Parrains and Sammys are still there. Louisiana Lagniappe? Jubans? Any new places that we should try not to miss? TIA

First time? I generally take people to Chimes--always a great atmosphere and good food (won't knock off any socks, but that's not what you're worried about dropping, am I right?)

City Pork, but i'd recommend City Pork II on Jefferson.

Louisiana Lagniappe is a great spot.

Beausoleil is a top one too.

My wife and I are big fans of The Overpass Merchant. It's where Zee Zee Gardens used to be. Opened back in March. High quality casual food, nice atmosphere, good drinks, reasonable price

Beausoleil is really good too. It's similar to the Overpass Merchant but a little fancier and pricier. They've been open for a few years.

Rum House is a casual, fun place with good tacos. The Mr. Biggs Plate is $16 and it will fill you up. Four tacos, a side and a meat pie.
