Across from the school ?

They either moved or closed...

but was some damn good po-boys and plate lunches many moons ago.

I headed there a few years ago and found them not open.

Closed, and has been closed for about 8 years or so. Something about bezene leaking into the groundwater from the old filling station next door. I knew some people who worked there when it shutdown that said an investigation was launched after a lot of the employees complained about headaches and such.

On another note, Country Kitchen is still open just a few blocks away. The signage is actually starting to bleed through the paint on the side of the old Marchands building.

I remember a little Mexican Restaurant "Careaux's" that was only open for a little while, but had the best Mexican food. Huge portions and cheap prices. I really wish those guys would have stayed in business. I heard the restaurant was getting in the way of LSU athletics. If so, smart people.

They just raised their weekly lunch buffet price with a drink to $10....not worth it at that price.
