Dancing Bear in Townsend. Nice, quiet atmosphere away from the Parkway of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

Dancing Bear

100% agree on Dancing Bear.

Btw, bears love boiled crawfish heads.

Should not allow bears to get your trash like that TWRA will euthanize problem bears almost zero tolerance policy. We are having issues in the National Park with bears for the same reason. Don’t be that kind of tourist when you visit secure the trash, keep your vehicle locked and do not feed them.

Gatlinburg is similar to a cruise ship experience, you don't go for the food but then you do go for the food.

For a nice dinner, Greenbriar is great, and the Burg on the strip has a steak you can eat with a spoon. Best italian on the strip has a calzone the size of a house cat. If you're off the beaten path for lunch, look up Timber's Log Cabin -imagine if Jerry Garcia got stoned and came up with creative ways to cook hamburgers.
