Taking a good friend out for dinner Tuesday night. Looking for something outside of the usual places. Type of food is not important, looking more at venue. Suggestions?

If this person is not from town then go with one of the usual places, Parrain's is always a winner. I'm not sure what side of town you are on

Thinking about City Pork. We've never been, like the idea of charcuterie and some wine.

Kalurah Street Grill is super hip, and the food is good too.

looking more at venue

Looking for what, exactly?

You're looking for a truly special memorable experiencene?

You're looking for a good meal with fun party atmosphere?

You're looking for something that screams Baton Rouge?

You're looking for something that can satisfy picky eaters?

ETA: City Pork should be a just fine choice. But if you give some more details on what you're looking for we can make more recommendations.

Just a place where we can sit, talk and catch up.

And eat.

City pork should be fine then. It's definitely going to be a good meal. Although I have noticed it can be a little loud if the dining room is full, so be aware of that.

Enjoy!
