Taste of Bavaria maybe? It closed several years ago. There was a Hungarian bakery in Baptist but I can’t recall the name of it.

It was rarely open when it was open. We tried several times to hit it on the way back from Carter Plantation and could never catch it open.

It was Taste of Bavaria on Hwy 22 between Ponchatoula and Springfield.
I really enjoyed it although I only went a few times. One cool, clear Saturday we went during their Oktoberfest celebration. German food and music with extended family made for a great beginning to a camp trip with my friends.

It was cool but it has been an Asian restaurant for years now. Mr Joe’s Sushi? It’s good

I have not stopped by since the changeover.
I really miss the bakery items, especially their 9(?)-grain bread. My mother and aunt visited the bakery quite often and would always drop off a few items for us.
