Game of Thrones Foods... Not sure if this is the right board. (No Spoilers)

I've had the beers...mostly underwhelming.

Some of the people that work with George RR Martin through the Westeros.com website got together and created a cookbook based on each region in the series. I've fixed a couple of the recipes from there. If you're also a fan of the books it has the excerpts from the books that actually discuss the foods you're fixing.



As said above, the Inn at the Crossroads food blog features a lot of the recipes (that's where the idea originated). Some of the ones I've fixed that turned out pretty good:

From Winterfell, Beef and Barley Stew.

From the South, Modern Honeycakes.

From King's Landing, Modern Lemon Cakes II.

Something that's cool about the cookbook is they also show you recipes based on their Elizabethan counterparts with traditional ingredients. Kind of fun to try to track down and get into. And the Dornish recipes get pretty wild with roasted snake as well.

Wine or a good stout beer. I have the urge to grab an oatmeal stout everytime they fill a horn with ale at the Wall.
