I got tired of buying the chunks at HD and Lowes, to many chips and only a few nice usable chunks for smoking. So I ordered 15lb of HIckory and Pecan from Fruita Wood. Cost me $70 total, arrived today and the wood looks nice and is cut in approx 3inx3in chunks. Cant wait to get it in the smoker and see if their is a taste difference. Anybody use their stuff before?

30lbs of wood, sorry but no Pecan or Hickory trees where I live. Have to buy it and just tired of throwing away a fourth of a bag that is junk.

Fruitawood is good wood. It's not super dried out like big box bagged wood. It is pricier though.
I use it because I have electric and electrics just pump out that awful brown smoke when you use super dried out wood.

I've been buying from them for 4 years. I've got 30 lbs. of hickory chunks and 15 lbs. of cherry coming this week. Their stuff is always uniform in size and shape. You should get some of their peach for pork and chicken, it smells divine.

I've heard good things about grape vines. Haven't tried them for anything, but I will order some soon.

I concur. That peach also does wonders for pork. Lord knows Myron Mixon has won a bunch of BBQ competitions using peach.
