Do I need to thaw frozen shrimp before boiling them?
I typically thaw them and let them boil for 2 minutes and them soak for 10 minutes. Does that change if I put them in the pot frozen?

Yes
Put the shrimp in cold water for 20 minutes or so to thaw. You will have to change out the water a few times to speed up the process.

I just dump them in the boiling water. Frozen means more time in seasoning.

I have very good results not thawing frozen shrimp.

Yes they require adjusting the soak time.

Last time I made "boiled" shrimp I forgot they were on the stove. It was the best I ever made. "Boiled" shrimp should be cooked at or near poaching temperature. Lower temperature equates to longer contact with the cooking liquid and thus more flavor absorption.

Fresh frozen or store bought frozen? I'll dump a few quarts of fresh frozen(shell on) in my crawfish boil when I turn the fire off and they come out great.
