French Bread Rec In New Orleans

Tomorrow is my daughters birthday and she requested a debris poboy. I just happen to be making my last sales call to my customer close to the intersection of Magazine and Louisiana Ave. Is there anywhere close that I can buy some fresh French bread? I really would prefer not to have to use the bread from Rouses or Walmart I
in Daphne, AL for my baby girls birthday request and I’m not sure if that Breaux Mart next to my customers would be much better although I could be wrong on that statement. Thanks in advance.

Breaux Mart right there will have some on the shelf.
Rouses is about 3minutes away at Tchoup and Napoleon and they will have some.
Two locations of Gracious nearby, the one on Prytania is your best bet for fresh, not sure if they have the traditional stuff.
Ive seen Parasols sell some across the counter, but maybe they are regulars.
Could call Guy's and ask if they do the same.
You can also go to Leidenheimer and purchase them directly, but you have to buy a gross. It's $20 or so.

Not sure how many preservatives they put in it, but I would assume it would slightly hard the day after you buy it.
My assumption may be totally wrong though.

I would eat the whole damn gross!

Thank you. The gross sounds good and $20 is a good price. That particular bread is good but by the time the little store by my house that stocks it gets it in the bread is often hard.

Might want to call to make sure you can still buy a bundle of the loaves out the front door.

Thanks everyone. I love the Food & Drink Board. I got 10 loaves of bread long as my daughter is tall for $17.00. I’m so glad I don’t have to use sorry bread on my daughters birthday request dinner.
