If you don't stop by the north side of Chattanooga, your next option is in Sparta, TN. Not much between those two except fast food and cheap Mexican. If you make it to Sparta, which is only 20 minutes from Cookeville, hit up Trailhead Grub/Happy Trails Brewery. They're not open Monday or Tuesday. Marioochi's is also decent if you're wanting pizza.

Bea’s Restaurant in Chattanooga. Best fried chicken ever made. Lots of other great stuff too.
