For the sake of being festive I'm trying an eggnog based bread pudding sauce

I'm doing a SV eggnog of sorts that I just threw together

pint of half and half
3 eggs
grated nutmeg
half a teaspoon mexican vanilla
1/4 cup powdered sugar

Put it all in a blender and transferred to a jar. 144°F for 1 hour and then into the refrigerator for the night

Tomorrow I'm going to reheat in a sauce pan and make a slurry of bourbon or scotch (depends on what the folks have lol) and use that as a thickener.

I'm making a "krispy kreme" bread pudding but really it's just the donuts from the HEB bakery. I hope it turns out well.

That’s what Lil Dizzy’s does, and it’s really good.

It seems like it would be impossible for it not to be good

I just hope I can get the sauce to thicken up enough. I wanted to get heavy cream but they were out at the local store and no way I was fighting the crazy crowd at the big HEB on my side of town
