Have a friend coming in town tomorrow who has an MSG allergy.

Cooking is the most obvious option, but I typically take out of towners to go eat at one of our many delicious restaurants. But apparently MSG is used pretty much everywhwre.

Has anyone ever had to deal with this? What are some places that might have fresh/clean options with no msg?

Tell your friend to stop letting a made up allergy rule his life.

He can order a salad anywhere you go.

If it is a big deal he shouldn't take the risk of accidentally eating it.

You just have to call around and ask. And when you do, whoever you talk to first won't really know, so they'll have to ask someone else.

I do know that I can safely take people to Deano's and Bon Temps Grill in Lafayette and Landry's in New Iberia, but not to Poche's in Breaux Bridge.

Bring him to a Chinese buffet and claim they are the only one in BR that doesn't use MSG.

Then afterwards reveal the truth and debunk his fake allergy.
