Bone in Ribeye or NY Strip? Which one?

Haven't decided on sides either.

Thanks American Express Blue for the gift card!

Bone in Ribeye and get it with that special preparation with coarse salt and pepper and grilled with a smoking hot iron. Damn good.

I had it a few months back. Our waiter suggested it when we ordered and it sounded quite good.

From what I remember they cover the steak with coarsely ground salt and pepper and then sear it on a flat top grill with a smoking hot iron on the top.

It sears the shite out of it and cooks it very fast locking in all of the juices. It was one of the best steaks I have had in a while. Ask your server about this preparation when you order.

All of their steaks are cooked with salt and pepper. Not sure what the hot iron adds. They already cooked on a 800 degree grill.

Thanks for your constructive comment. I appreciate the tip from Ruzil. I will definitely ask.

Even though you didn't ask, go with the Pork Chop. They have one of the best in town.

No kidding.

Honestly, they are supposed to ask you if you would like to have your steak prepared that way. Your server may or may not follow that, but you definitely shouldn't feel weird asking for them to prepare it that way. It is a fairly recent method for them and it is very very good.

Went not too long ago. My SO's bone-in ribeye was AMAZING. My NY Strip was atrocious. So, bad I wrote to them just to give them a heads up. It was thin and tough. I ordered it MR, and I swear a Wal-Mart steak would have been better. The Fleming's potatoes were also frozen in the middle, so I don't know if the expo line had the night off or what...but as I said, the ribeye was 10/10.

You didn't say anything in person? Just ate the crappy meal and kept quiet?

Some of my visits to the BR location have been underwhelming... I stick to Ruth's now

I go bone-in ribeye just about every time.

Fleming's potatoes are great, can't really go wrong with any of the sides though.

They have a killer happy hour if you sit in the bar area. Your gift card will go a lot further.

I go to the one in Sandestin nearly every day when I'm there for happy hour carpaccio. And I'm not suggesting that you get it, it's just an FYI, the $5 happy hour burger is a great deal.

The mac n cheese and the Flemmings potatoes are good. The mac and cheese is really good.
