There used to be a bar in Bon Marche Mall called Chelsea's, and then there was a place called Chelsea's in that strip mall at Highland and State Streets.

I'm assuming that it's neither of those places!

You're partly right. It was the "hippy" hang out off of State, and it still has a hippy following after dinner certain nights.
It's a bit more dressed up on the restaurant side than it was off of State, and the menu has been improved greatly.

They moved to the Perkins overpass area where Glen's was and before that it was ummm I forget.

Is that the place directly under the Perkins Overpass? I used to like that place. The name escapes me at the moment. Seems like it was Uncle something or other, or Captain something. Maybe had a "cock" in the name?

That's it! Boy, I was pretty far off!

I hope the food is better now that it was then. It wasn't bad, but we went for the drinks and live music most of the time.

Chelseas has great food. Not gourmet, but somewhat inventive. I eat lunch there all the time.

De Angelo's and Pinetta's are both solid choices if you are college-aged

i'm not sure if this has been said yet but when we have date night we always go to zea's. the prices aren't bad for the amount of food you get and we're always pleased with the service and quality.

Shrimp in vodka sauce. Fish special, usually. Osso Bucco. Cheese and Spinich manicotti. The feta and pesto pizza. Garlic appetizer... er, maybe not on a first date.

The house chianti is good too.

Start at Duvics for a cocktail. Grab a beer at Chelseas then slide over to Digiulio Brothers for a glass of wine and the cambazola appetizer. Walk down to Rock-n-Sake for some sushi. Return to Chelseas and see a band. Finish at Schlittz with a slice.

^Awesomeness.. lol

I think that would creep me out though.. too much thinking into it..

But I agree with Chelsea's
