Feliciana Restaurant Covington, review

we’ve eaten there for dinner three times now, the last being last night. Time for a review. Spoiler: it’s awesome
very beautiful dining room and bar area. They spent a shitpile of money building it out and it shows. The atmosphere is refined but fun, not snooty at all. Tables are nicely arranged so you aren’t on top of your neighbors and it’s not so loud where you can’t have a conversation. Really well done.
Service is first class. The waitstaff is friendly, well trained, prompt, knowledgeable about the menu and happy to be there. Besh restaurants have a well earned reputation for providing great service and this is the case here. We’ve had three different waiters and they all were excellent.
The bar upstairs (paradise) is super nice. There’s an air conditioned main space and a big open balcony outside. If you have the time definitely worth a visit before dinner.
The food is the best in Covington, and some of the best we’ve ever had. Particularly the seafood…you can look at the menu but everything we’ve had has been amazing. The fish dishes are particularly well done, some of the finest fish eating you will find. We haven’t had any of the beef options but we have had the veal and it’s incredible. Seriously great food all the way around and they have resurrected the chicken liver pate from La Provence…if you know, you’ll order it.
Expect to pay $100.00- 150.00 pp depending on your liquor tab. Last nights check was $250.00 total for four courses and dessert
side note, we spent the night at Oliver and Cecile guest house and it’s was nicer (and cheaper) than the southern. The owners also own the little blue door which is another excellent choice for cocktails before dinner.

Went for my birthday in June, had escargot, caviar, and Pate for apps. All delicious and could have stopped there. Tripletail fish entree was great as well. BR food scene is a disaster and waste of money. I’m fine driving an hour to at least enjoy a meal now.

Nice review. I've eaten there quite a few times and generally agree. It's been consistently good. The duck pasta and tripletail are phenomenal. Service has been good at both lunch and dinner each time I've gone.
My minor gripes are that (a) it feels a bit expensive for what it is, and (b) I haven't been crazy about any of the appetizers except for the escargot. I also hope that they start to change their menu up a bit, similar to Del Porto.
Paradise is sweet. The patio will be really nice in the fall when it cools off a bit.
