Same in BR. Went outside to get a coffee, saw the sky, said screw it and came back inside.

What is your verdict on this one? I've had about 8 of them and I am still not sure.

couldn't get to my usual bar; took me a minute to convince the shitty bar tender at the replacement location that there was indeed an important soccer match going on somewhere... ; after we got to the right channel, i had no complaints...

back home how; deciding whether i want to crack open another.

Anyone know anything about these beers? Going by this store today and wondering if I should buy a few of these.

De Molen Tsarina Esra

Rated 100 points @ RateBeer and 90 points @ Beer Advocate

Imperial Porter is a rather recent style that arose simultaneously in both Europe and North America. In fact it’s a stronger version of the Baltic Porters that were brewed in England for export to the Baltic countries. And Baltic Porters are in fact stronger than the regular English Porter.
To but it in short: it’s more of more. But they cannot be compared to their brothers the Imperial Stouts. They certainly have the same malty character but the heavy roasted malt is absent.

Dieu du Ciel Rigor Mortis Abt

Rated 99 points @ RateBeer

A strong brown ale inspired by the beer brewed by Belgian Trappist monks. Very little bitterness, this beer has intense malty and sweet flavors, mixed with the taste of chocolate and caramel.
It presents complex red fruit and spice flavors due to the type of yeast that is used during the brewing process.
The beer is at it’s best only after it has aged for six months. The Rigor Mortis line are complex beers designed and brewed with patience and care in the tradition of the great Belgian Abbey beers.
Rigor Mortis Abt is brewed only once a year, and is sold in April until stocks last.

Birra Del Borgo Duchessic

Rated 98 points @ RateBeer and 90 points @ Beer Advocate

Birra Del Borgo Duchessic is an Italian farmhouse ale blended with a one year old Cantoilln lambic.
Duchessic is the result of the blend of two beers. One is Duchessa beer, Birra del Borgo’s Saison brewed with spelt, and the second beer is a Lambic brewed at cantillon brewery in Bruxelles.
Both brews are blended just before bottling (10% lambic, 90% Duchessa). The use of Cantillon lambic gives Duchessic it’s special wild charachter.

Still not loving hop rising. Way too sweet. I dont know what some of you people see in this beer.

I tried it awhile back from Calandros. Not impressed at all. Not sure how old it was.
