It's not perfect, but it's pretty good. Will be better with more carbonation and with a few weeks of maturing before Zapp's.

It's also more of a Belgian Strong Ale, ended up at 8.6% abv.

What is your preferred technique for getting thru that wax stuff rutiger?

. I dont know why yall had so much trouble. You dont need to pull any wax off. The bottle opener catches the cap with the wax and all.

That seems like the best method.

I could not get my bottle opener to "catch" the cap with the wax on it. Perhaps I just got a couple of bottles with lots of wax. Or maybe I'd had too many beers. As I've said, a man should not have to work that hard to get to his beer.

Err, haven't been able to keep up with this thread but I shared a few beers of the day with Fratastic and his wife tonight.

I think we had
Carolina Blonde?
Bell's Oberon
Real Ale IPA
SN Kellerweis
Odell's Double Black IPA
Some homebrew and Frat was nice enough to share a new beer for me I got to try Founder's Breakfast Stout. It was so chocolatey and coffee like that I couldn't change a thing. Relatively light bodied for an 8.3% beer. Just perfect.

Boulevard is a solid brewery.

If you like that, you'll prob like the Mikkeller/Three Floyd's Collaboration BooGoop. Its a wheatwine as well

Damn, I guess I should have gone over, but I was really feeling a quiet night in. Oh well.

I'm not sure if it would have been a good idea for Boo to bring over more beer.

It's never a bad idea, however I had been drinking before we started sampling. I am not used to waking up on a work day slightly hungover.
