Is that a food cart pod?
My favorite late night food cart pod is over on Hawthorne and 12th. Probably halfway between where you are staying and The Apex Bar. It's called Cartopia. Veggie options, too.

Food carts in Portland are hit or miss. A lot like the breweries. There are a lot of good breweries in Portland, but people forget about all the bad ones...
