Hardly anybody at work, due to the 3" of snow that fell last night. I think I'll have a beer.

ETA: I'm drinking a pFriem Mango Pale Ale. Delicious.

I hope you realize what a gem you have in Block 15. Nick and his boys are putting out some great beers. Sticky Hands goes with everything.

Portland is not bad, today, mainly because everyone stayed home. Last night, however was a shot show. It took me 1 1/2 hours to make the 3 mile drive home. In Beaverton, not Portland.

Howd you end up in Corvallis?

I was looking for a style... They have Racer 5 in the cooler, but I'm too lazy to walk all the way over there to get it.

So you say a NW IPA is best?

Oh yes. Figgy pudding isn't too shabby either.

I moved here for a job at OSU. They told me it didn't snow much here, seen two "snows" in a week!

I thought nu tropic was pretty good. It's a little sweet or something that kept it from being really good, but I still enjoyed it

It is unusual and it won't be the last time. It usually happens in January or February.

Gonna be a great snow year up in the mountains!

I'm blaming it on you - you brought it up here. We have not had snow since February of 2014. We've had very mild winters for the last 2 years.

If you like barrel aged stouts, hit up Block 15 for their Super Nebula release. The production facility outside of town is pretty cool. The restaurant downtown gets kinda crowded. I like Le Caves, right next door to the downtown location. Reasonably priced and I've had great food there.

You are just an hour from Newport, on the beach - and a drive through Yachats, Heceta Beach, Florence, and Bandon is gorgeous. Even this time of year, you can storm watch. The coast of Oregon is very different from the gulf coast. It is very sparsely populated, unlike most of the Florida coast.

Bend and Crater Lake aren't far, either.

How long have you been there? Are you enjoying it, so far?

I'm guessing there will be. I doubt they will get too busy tonight or tomorrow night.
