Many years ago a buddy of mine and I ate breakfast at a greasy spoon in Lake Charles called Goss Cafe. My buddy,Chuck, requested pancakes. This heavy-duty Koonass waitress yelled to the cook "hotcakes." Chuck said "Maam,I wanted pancakes, not hotcakes." The waitress then replied. "Hotcakes, pancakes same different. Boy, where you from? Out in the wood?" Chuck shrugged it off. When the bill was presented Chuck asked her if she would like a large tip. She enthusiastically said "Oh yeah, talk about!" Chuck replied "TRY NATIVE DANCER IN THE THIRD AT EVANGELINE DOWNS." The cafe is long gone but I've allways remembered that.

my favorite is when a table or group try to split all you can eat. then when you tell them no or charge them for how many people eat off the plate, they tell you its a stupid rule and refuse to pay after you have warned them numerous times. i dont think its a very hard concept to grasp.

I like em' but I order water because I don't want to consume 500 calories of bubbly sugar water.

We went to a locally owned seafood restaurant and were told they were out of fries. Not a big deal to me because I didn't eat them, anyway, but we had a large group and kids were with us. That was like telling them there was no Santa. There was a big grocery store about 3 doors down which carried those mega bags of fries, as well as potatoes, which they had on hand anyway, but they refused to get any there until the truck with the fries arrived. Apparently, the truck was running hours late as this was on the other side of the lunch rush. If I'm the restaurant owner, I'm going to send someone to pick up the bags of fries until the truck arrives, if any customers are complaining about not getting them. The restaurant didn't last long. I don't know why it closed.
