Spent this weekend in Dallas. Drove over Friday after work with plans to eat out, go to Dallas Aquarium on Saturday am and then catch the Rangers game last night. Came across this place by just looking at restaurants on Google Maps along the route thru Dallas to our hotel.

Advertised as a casual Brazillian Steakhouse. All the reviews said that while a more casual atmosphere and slightly more limited meat offerings than other Brazillian Streakhouses, the food quality and service were top notch and almost all gave it 5 stars.

I couldn’t agree more. When we arrived, my wife was a little apprehensive. It is in a strip mall and doesn’t look like much from the outside. Completely different once you walk thru the door. While it was casual, it definitely had a more elegant atmosphere than what the exterior would make you think. The service was top notch. The food was even better. Flavorful meats cooked to perfection. Each bite better than the last. They would also bring around grilled pineapple which my wife couldn’t get enough of. When you were seared they brought out bread but also these small bananas that had been cooked in some sort of cinnamon butter brandy sauce. If they weren’t so rich I could have eaten a plate full. Nice selection of side items as well. And the chimichurri sauce was perfect. The owner made rounds and greeted and thanked every table at some point during there meal. Restaurant and restrooms were both very clean.

I have eaten at many Brazillian Steakhouse in Dallas, Baton Rouge, Shreveport etc.. and from a food quality and service quality, Espada’s is the best I’ve had.

They were fine. To be honest, I only ate one. Wasn’t to worried about the bread once the meats started rolling around.
