That is not a macchiato. This is why Starbucks is trash, because they rebrand their sugary milk drinks with different fancy coffee names that already exist and are specific in their milk to espresso ratio. In the case of a macchiato, Starbucks took their standard latte and chose to not mix the milk and espresso in the cup. By serving it to be separate they created something "new" and slapped the stolen the name "macchiato" on it to get people to buy it. Once Starbucks does this, others follow suit and sell their unmixed lattes as "macchiatos."

A macchiato is strictly espresso and foam. That's it.
