I am going to Domenica on Friday before the Hornets game. I'm trying to decide whether or not to get the set Passover menu(not Jewish and not particularly familiar) or just hit up Happy Hour specials. Just looking for some thoughts form the Board.

As you can see, it's $55 + Tax & Tip Family Style.

Passover Menu
TIA

Are you going with a group? All of the dishes are family style, so it won't be quite as much fun to share/pass around if you're dining with just one or two other folks. I'd have a hard time not ordering a pizza and a pasta while at Domenica...

This is not a concern. No trip is complete until Pizza & Pasta are ordered at Domenica.

I think we're going to try to order A La Carte from the Passover Menu. I'm really interested in the Matzo Ball Soup, and I'm sure the lamb shoulder is delish.

I think he is going this Friday Nikki. And he should change his user name to OneophileGirl for actually using "delish" in a post.

Tough crowd, I'll remember to refrain from such feminine outburts.

Glass, I will be testing your recs on New Orleans eat places this weekend. What's Easter Sunday like? We will be brunching before we head home. Probably 8-10 people.

Where are you staying? Easter is going to be extremely busy.

If it is a problem, we can split up and go on our own. We would have four total, two kids.

I made my reservations for this weekend last night and there was already pretty slim pickings, especially for prime dinner times on Friday and Saturday. We decided to do Desi Vega's for dinner on Friday (630p rez), Katie's for lunch on Saturday after the CCC (no rez .. Liuzza's and Cafe Degas are backups), Coquette for dinner on Saturday (630 rez) and on Sunday I gave up trying to find a brunch opening .. so we are just going to cook breakfast at my house on Sunday morning then my family will get on the road after that.

Not a problem, just asking. I would try and make a reservation at either NOLA or KPaul's.

Get to Dante's Kitchen early. Stand in line. First come, first serve. Worth it.

If you're staying at the Monteleone, check with Criollo. Maybe they keep some spots open for guests. It's going to be tough for brunch. I just got a reservation for lunch at Domenica for Easter Sunday, last week, when our plans changed. We usually do Arnaud's, but some of the group has to leave early. Just two of us and we decided to do Arnaud's Jazz Bistro Good Friday night, so I can get my jazz and oysters Arnaud fix.

Tried that once. Was told it was going to be at least 2 hour wait. Went to Patois instead and sat down after 15 minutes.

According to their website, they have spots available on Sunday morning from 08:00 on. This is my insurance policy. I will research the others mentioned. Thanks to everyone for recs.

We are not planning on dressing up on Sunday. Are all the brunch places pretty casual? Khakhis & oxford shirt, etc?
