I asked at the last global white people meeting and searched on Pinterest, but I didn't see one that looked good to me.

I don't think this will be appreciated on the Food & Drink Board.

BANANA BREAD

1 cup sugar
1/3 cup margarine or butter, softened
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas (3 to 4 medium)

1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour (do not use self-rising flour)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Pam cooking spray

Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease bottom and sides of loaf pan. (Pam cooking spray)
Mix sugar and margarine in 2 1/2-quart bowl.
Stir in eggs until blended.
Add bananas and water; beat 30 seconds.
Stir in remaining ingredients just until moistened.
Pour into your greased loaf pan.
Bake until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
8-inch loaf: 75 minutes.
9-inch loaf: 55-60 minutes.
Loosen sides of loaf from pan; remove from pan.
Cool completely before slicing.

This is my grandma's (it's legit):

2 sticks margarine
3 eggs
2 cups sugar
3 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup sour milk (buttermilk? Dunno, just looking at the index card)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
3-6 mashed bananas
1 cup chopped pecans
1 tsp vanilla

Bake 1 hour for large pan or 1/2 hr for small or until toothpick comes out clean, let set 15 mns before removing from pan.

From the wife (MHNBPF)

2 overly ripe Bananas mashed with fork
3 eggs
2 cups Self Rising Flour
1 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans

Mix with spoon until ingredients are incorporated. no need for mixer.

Prep pan with oil, shortening or butter and flour (or spray with bakers choice spray) and cook in a 350 degree oven 40 - 50 minutes. Done when a tooth pick stuck in loaf comes out clean.

If using dark loaf pan or glass pan drop temp 25 degrees.

She cooks it and I eat most of it.

My family recipe calls for sour milk. (Although buttermilk is listed as an alternate.) If you have neither, add vinegar to milk at a ratio of 1 Tbsp vinegar to 1 cup milk. So instead of a half cup of sour milk you'd substitute a half cup of milk plus 1 1/2 tsp vinegar.
