Everyone does have their opinion but I’ll say I know a lot of folks who eat the freshest salmon around and my opinion happens to be shared by most of those people. There’s only one strain of King salmon I would put up against prime coho and sockeye and that’s the Spring run of Kings in the Columbia River.
I hear you and not trying to fight, but if we are taking the primest sockeye and comparing it to the primest king, I take the king. If it is average of both I still take the king, prime fresh sockeye vs half arse commercially processed frozen king, yeah I am taking the sockeye
But I would not pay prime dollar and shipping for commercially caught, processed , frozen sockeye that you have no idea when, where or how it was caught, and I damn sure would not pay for coho
With that being said , I revert to my previous statement, as long as you know what you are getting and are happy with it…. Great. But do you get the irony of an Alaskan fish company selling Atlantic scallops and forigen tuna ???

I’m with you TP123. I prefer King.
Went to Alaska and caught Kings in the Kenai Peninsula. The limit is one per person per day, by the way.
It was the best salmon I’ve ever had.
Never had sockeye, so I can’t compare.
I do appreciate the OP sharing his experience with that company, as I looked into it a year ago.

That’s understandable. I’m lucky, I catch all my own salmon.

It’s always better when you catch it.
I will release sub par fish. Commercials sell everything. I only eat the best. I’m picky when it comes to salmon.

I've purchased pork from Campo Grande (heirloom Iberico pork) and it is fantastic and I highly recommend. Have also bought beef from Snake River Farms, specifically Ribeye caps which were also excellent.
