Yep. I typically stay at the Astor so I eat at DBSH often. Never had a bad meal there.

Yeah, as others have said, it gets blasted here pretty often...I always enjoy my meals there. I have never had a bad experience, and they do a great job with large groups which in my line is always good.

Don't know why it gets blasted on here either. Everytime I have gone the food has been very good

Agree 100%

I mentioned it on here a few years ago and got blasted

Wife and I went there for our anniversary last year and had a fantastic meal. From service to food to bread pudding, it was great

Don't get all the hate. Curious if it didn't have the name Brennon attached to it if the food snobs would feel the same way with the hate

Only time I eat here is when its a company outing or other group experience. If it is up to me I would never choose it. Is it bad, no. Is it overpriced for what you get, absolutely. I ate there this past December for a work dinner. The shrimp remoulade was bland. The ribye was over cooked, and most certainly not prime (the menu did not state that it was, but for the price, it should have been.) The bread pudding was dry. The service was great, but it is a very average restaurant. I have a good time, when I go, but there are just too many other options for a better meal in the area.

I have to eat there again during Mardi Gras, but I would much rather Galatoire's, Arnaud's, Bayonna, the New Brennan's, GW Fins, and even Mr. B's before Dickie Brennan's

Excellent The magnum of Caymus Special Select . I took the bottle in my drunken state. Still have it. Somewhat bourgeois but I love that bottle :)

I ate there a few weeks ago too and had the same ribeye. It was fantastic as was the entire experience.
