Green Dot Stables
Mercury Burgers/Bar
Grand Trunk Pub for beers/bar
Greektown for Greek/Med food, lots of small shops.

Downtown is eh, liked it, but small. The burbs have tons of Meaderies, big thing up there.

London Chop and Joe Mears are old standbys.

Vincents Cuban is pretty good.

Actually Rays-Tigers series. Damn. Now I realize why the downtown hotel rates were so expensive. Thanks for the heads-up.

The Old Shillelagh is a sort of bar/club that is in downtown and more of a party vibe. 3 stories and each floor is a different vibe. Pub, club, tiki bar, live music.

I'm not sure I'd eat here.. but Eminem has a little restaurant called Mom's Spaghetti, which I think is hilarious.

I really enjoyed Buddy's pizza when I was there a few years ago. Ate there before a game at Comerica. Comerica is a cool baseball stadium as well.

There is not enough hotels in downtown core. Anything comes to downtown and prices go way up. I stay out in Dearborn near Ford HQ when that happens. You can also stay up north in Troy area but the commute is a lot longer due to traffic. Dearborn seems to be a pretty easy ride into town. Or cheap uber.
