I have a built-in Cal Flame Grill. I want to give it a deep cleaning by taking some if apart (soaking if need be) and clean out some of the parts, and also drip pan, etc.. I feel like the flames arent burning like they have previously, and this might be due to build up. Anyone have experience in doing this that can share some wisdom?

Don't the burners have covers over them like a typical gas grill??? If so the burners should not have anything blocking their putting out proper flames to heat up the grill.

As for deep cleaning, I do that to my grill about 3 times a year and you'd be surprised how filthy they can get with buildup of grease and stuff scraped off the grilling surface that accumulates in the pan. I highly recommend a good cleaning. Be sure to rinse them out thoroughly, put them back in the grill and light it to burn off any residual moisture.

What I do is take it all apart and bring it into my kitchen after scraping the brunt of accumulated crap off and clean the stuff with hot water, one of those green scouring pads and lots of dish soap.

ETA: If, by some chance, your burners are clogged, go to a hardware store and get some TSP (Tri-sodium Phosphate), put about 1/2 cup of it in enough hot water to soak the burners in and let them sit in it for about half an hour to really loosen up the greasy buildup and use a stiff bristle brush to clean the burners as best you can. TSP is my go to chemical for removing grease. If you have delicate skin, be sure to wear gloves or it can make your skin peel a bit.
