know all the stories of how filthy the kitchen was...but a to go buffet box from that place could feed me for several days in college. It was my go to Sunday pig out for several years.

Hell yeah man. I used to fill it up with just protein and have a few meals at least.

A group of us used to stop on the way home from Saints games and tear it up.

Make the drive out to Walker and go to Foo Chow. Last few times I have been, its been pretty decent and fresh.

Central Buffet is pretty good for what it is. Its my kids' favorite restaurant so I've eaten there more than I care to admit.

They shut down for about 2-3 weeks during the lock-down, enough time to install a drive thru then they were back at it. They re-opened inside buffet later in 2020 when most restaurants were still completely closed. They're serious about it.

Oriental Peal in Baton Rouge. The buffet is on the small side by comparison, but they are pretty decent choice. I like their sushi. No hibachi grill.

Foo Chow in Walker used to be good but they shut down the hibachi grill and got kinda shitty since the china virus.

Or go to Central and eat the Central Buffet. It's a Chinese buffet. No hibachi grill. They are good, not great. Much bigger than Oriental Pearl.

It believe Hunan is still doing the buffet. Call and find out. The cook gave me the stink eye one time and I stopped going.

I often go the King's Buffet in Lafayette. It's better than all of the above. They have hibachi and it's a pretty big buffet.

I almost forgot about that place. I kind of like it, but I can certainly see how you don't. I like the decor. I hate the small glasses they give you. A few sips and my glass is empty. They are stingy as frick with the napkins. Lots of buffet items with sugar and carbs. It impossible to eat healthy there. I might go there once or twice a year...by myself. Mainly because their fried chicken wings are decent and don't taste like fish food like a lot of Chinese restaurant.

I stayed in BR after Katrina for work.. There was a Chinese buffet on Florida.. A co-worker and I put a hurt on them. We joked that they took pictures of us and told us "You no come back"..
