Tomato/Marinara pie is a thing. Many places serve similar. This was the best I've had of this style.

Sarcone's in Philly also makes a great one




and Colangelo's in the Pittsburgh Strip District

If you are taking notes put Nola Mia on St Claude on your list.

Portnoy didn't bless it, but the place doesn't really hype itself up. Owner just slings good pies every day.

I went there back in 2021. I did a blind taste test between Nola Mia and Zee's, and I preferred Nola Mia. Haven't had a chance to return yet.

I finally made it to Forbidden last weekend.

Really liked it. Pricey, but liked it. St Pizza just hasn't done it for me.

Nola Mia hired some new guys in with experience and improved their product some.

Top 5 in NOLA area are hard to separate right now.
