Headed to Dallas for Memorial Day Weekend. Looking for some fun day drinking places to go to. Also, any local hidden treasure restaurants would be nice.
TIA

The essential Dallas patio bars for day drinking-
Katy Trail Ice House
Dots
Truckyard
The Rustic
Rooftop at HG
Happiest Hour (more so at night)
There's also a big pool party this weekend that the W Hotel is throwing. Awesome pool with stellar views of dt.

Top Knot is a great place to eat and their cocktails are great as well

Good list. Like another poster said, these places will be asses-to-elbows.....although it will be 96 degrees tomorrow so they may be less crowded.

Very true. The asses will usually be worth it though.

Pints and Quarts makes a great cheeseburger and fries - Offsite Kitchen offers the same
El Come has fantastic tacos
Lockhart Smokehouse for BBQ
Uncle Uber's for Sandwiches. Jimmy's food store has great and cheap Italian subs

I'll throw out a rec for S&D Oyster Company as well. It's on McKinney St. which can be a real beating but the food is always great and they've added a cool patio addition in the rear. It may appeal to the Louisianan in you, who knows.

I've never had a good meal there but Dallas people seem to love it. Half Shells in Snider Plaza by SMU is way better.....hell, Dodies....now called Charlie's Cajun Cafe is better.
