Heading to Dallas Sunday for a show at Sundown at Granada. Strangely enough I've never been to the Dallas area before. Any food and drink must haves near that area?
TIA

The Grape is right down the road

FYI you just mean lower Greenville.
The grape as mentioned is right there and very good. St Martin's wine bistro is also close and fantastic. I would say those are must haves, but both can be pricey. St Martin's is quieter and has a piano player. The grape is more packed and has more of a bistro feel.
Sundown at Granada has decent food, but the grape and St Martin's are light-years above.
Venture south down greenville ave a few miles to lowest Greenville and try Rapscallion. Southern classics and a good brunch. Teppo is great sushi right across the street for dinner only.
The libertine on lowest Greenville is a classic pub. HG sply is pretty hipster, but the rooftop is fun and has a great view of downtown.

Appreciate the info....St. Martins looks interesting (somewhat formal) but we may check it out.
Thanks

White tablecloth, but not dressy. Nice shirt with nice jeans or slacks is fine. You don't need a jacket. Same for the grape. The wife and I go about once a month. Champagne brie soup is amazing. Escargot, mussels, and foie gras are very good as well.
Some good value on the wine list too. The 2013 Argiano brunello, a $65 bottle at the store, is like $80 or so which is absurd for on premise. It's a great bottle.

I live right down the street and have never heard it called grennland hills. Most call it Lakewood or Lower Greenville.

Sundown has a good burger.
My favorites down there are Teppo and Wabi House.

As I mentioned in the original post.. I've never been to Dallas... Lol.... Therefore I don't know the proper names of the area. If you're nearby check out Bishop Gunn Sunday night. I'm driving in from Lafayette specifically for the show. They're actually opening for the Stones Saturday in Houston. A good band
ETA... Google maps refers to the area as Greenland Hills

Wow, that's dedication. Sundown is a really small place....maybe 100 people although it also has a rooftop bar. Its owned by the same guy as the Grenada Theater next door which is a much bigger venue. I'm out in San Francisco right now. Have fun!

Took a date to The Grape last night and it was my first time there. Great spot. Grabbed a drink at Terilli's before and it was just generally 2 good spots, aside from the Drunk LSU fan at the Terilli's bar
