Cub has always served food, but in a separate restaurant from the bar. Great steak and Au Gratin potatoes.

All I know is that the Cub has the most hardcore group of regular day drinkers I have ever encountered. And I grew up around bars and spend more time in them than I should. The City probably gave them a license just to get that group of people off the streets. No telling what kinds of shenanigans they have been up to if the Cub has been closed.

I grew up around one of them. Very successful guy but every free minute he had, he was at the cub. He joked and said laptops and wifi would end up being the death of him

Lots of business is conducted there on a daily basis. If you need a roofer, just stop by the Cub. Usually 3 or 4 different company reps there everyday. You can get 4 quotes and have a beer and a shot all in one place.
