Been to Crawfish Time on Verot a few times. They were small/medium on Tuesday but seasoned well. Pleasantly surprised by LT's in Broussard last week, still small/medium in size but delicious. Heading to Cajun Claws tonite, crazing the fried shrimp while I wait for second seating.

I picked up 1500 lbs last week from a variety of farmers for a large boil I do every year. I saw product from Gueydan, Kaplan, Abbeville, and Delcambre.
Don't do it.....I think by March 1st crawfish sizes will be worth the price.
I had about 800 lbs of medium good stuff for this time of year and 700 lbs of stuff I wouldn't feed to anyone. But that is what the party wanted and thats what they got.

Cajun Claws last night, huge and delicious. No other bugs compare. Fried shrimp app and the lemon fried pistolette with ice cream for dessert...slap my momma. Got there at 5:45 to put name down. Went to Dupuy's for oysters and booze. They were perfect size, salty, delicious. Did not get seated at Claws until 8:30 but worth it.
